Oncology Pharmacist
Under the direction of the Manager, Oncology Pharmacy Services, the operations specialist is responsible for performing a variety of operational activities necessary to maintain efficient flow in the oncology manufacturing area. The specialist needs to implement strategies to maximize efficiency, inventory, cost effectiveness, and safe chemotherapy drug use. In addition, ensure compliance with formulary and drug use policies, assist in achieving fiscal goals as established by the department business plan , provide guidance and support to staff.
Job Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a B.S., M.S., or Pharm. D. degree. Completion of a residency in hospital pharmacy from a program accredited by the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists is desirable but not required. At least one (1) years' experience in a clinical practice setting and considerable experience with pharmacy operations is desirable. Excellent written, verbal and computer skills are required. Experience in data analysis is highly desirable. Must possess Change Acceleration Process (CAP) or similar process improvement and change management skills. Must have Connecticut Pharmacist License or be license eligible.
- This position will work with 2-3 other pharmacists and 2 technicians
- Will work in a decentralized capacity
- Shifts will have a rotating start time between 7:30 - 9:30AM
- Rotating weekends/holidays and works 2 afternoon shifts every 4 weeks
- Has an every 3rd weekend rotation as well
