We are actively recruiting for a Pharmacist in Charge for an opportunity in Alaska! The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patient care and managing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy.
Responsibilities include supervising pharmacists, conducting interviews & performance reviews, directing technicians, providing clinical knowledge to customers on drug interactions and dosage, insure proper inventory control with respect to controlled substances, providing education and guidance to the pharmacy team.
PIC will demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in filling prescriptions, identify and resolves problems in a timely manner in group problem solving situations and participates in the implementation of the identified solution, assess own strengths and weaknesses, pursues training and development opportunities and continually strives to continuously build knowledge and share expertise with others.
Will also be responsible for managing difficult or emotional customer situations by responding promptly to customer needs; requests for service and assistance. Will work independently, with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:

Education – BS in Pharmacy

Experience – 2 years pharmacy preferred and other medical industry experience desirable; knowledge of durable medical equipment purchasing and inventory especially valuable. Prior Pharmacy management experiences is necessary.

Certifications/License - State of Alaska pharmacist license.

Computer Skills – proficient with MS Office, email, Internet and pharmacy billing programs.
