Hospital Pharmacists WANTED in Connecticut for 6 Month Assignment!
This reputable dynamic and special health care system is looking for an Inpatient Pharmacist who can hit the ground running. Qualifications and Responsibilities:
* Pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
* BS or PharmD from an accredited college
* License to practice pharmacy from the state board of Connecticut – clear and active
* Ability to work independently and handle stress appropriately
* Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload
* Effective communication skills to all customers and hospital staff
* Understanding of contemporary pharmacy practice; basic knowledge of computer technology
* Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns and work cooperatively with other members
* Experience with the following computer systems a plus: Meditech, McKesson, and HMM
* Supervises the work of pharmacy technicians according to hospital policy
* Reviews and interprets physician orders for completeness and appropriateness with respect to patients' needs
* Conducts unit inspections, assures safe handling and delivery of medications
