Pharmacy Systems Analyst
Full Time – Permanent Position / Monday - Friday
We are seeking a licensed pharmacist with a minimum of 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience in addition to experience in pharmacy information systems.
The Pharmacy Systems Analyst is responsible for the overall management of the pharmacy information system
Meditech Pharmacy module and other applicable modules
McKesson pharmacy automation systems (i.e., Connect-Rx, AcuDose, MedCarousel, MedComm-Rx, NarcStation, PacMed, and other medication safety related hardware and software applications).

Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of the pharmacy module and all pharmacy related modules of Meditech.

Serves as an expert for the Meditech Pharmacy module (i.e., Pharmacy Drug Dictionary, Charge Drug Master, and other related files).

Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of all McKesson Pharmacy Automation systems.

Manages and leads new Pharmacy Systems implementations and upgrades by coordinating with appropriate vendors/stakeholders to bring about successful implementations and upgrades. Conducts pre-installation quality assurance testing and post-implementation analysis to promptly identify and resolves procedural or system(s) deficiencies associated with the project.

On-going process improvement assessment as it relates to pharmacy systems and pharmacy automation technologies.

Provides and coordinates end-user training on all Pharmacy IT Systems (Meditech & McKesson, etc.) and develops and maintains training guides for all Pharmacy IT Systems.

Conducts on-going analysis of all the McKesson pharmacy technology applications (i.e., Connect-Rx, AcuDose, etc) as it relates to profile building, planning, trouble-shooting, implementation, and maximizing system benefits.

Develops and maintains Data Management Plan for the pharmacy to optimize data collection by building reports (or facilitates having reports built).

Maintains computer application files, reports, documentation, procedure manuals, training materials.

Participates on pharmacy systems project teams and other teams/committees as assigned, with accountability for meeting deadlines.

Monitors all applicable pharmacy systems utilization and reports to effect systems and operational optimization.

Serves as a Pharmacy Information Technology resource and liaison for the department to provide information, problem-solving, and workflow enhancements through the pharmacy technology applications.

Effectively manages the Pharmacy IT component of the pharmacy operations in conjunction with and under the leadership of the Pharmacy Leadership Team.
