SENIOR CLINICAL MANAGER - PHARMACY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review purchase and medication utilization information to identify opportunities to improve use of pharmacy contracts and implement pharmaceutical cost reduction strategies
• Serve as a clinical resource with a primary portfolio focus on pharmaceuticals, but including products in other clinical areas.
• Monitor the clinical literature and related publications for information on drugs in development, changes in clinical practice guidelines, new regulatory requirements, healthcare related economic information, and medication safety issues
• Assist internal staff with member council support and supplier relationships.
• Work collaboratively with alliance staff to provide support for supply chain and networking offerings for
members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• PhamD is required.
· Licensed to practice as a registered pharmacist required;
• 5+ years clinical pharmacy experience required; hospital experience preferred; drug information or clinical oncology experience preferred
• Residency training and/or specialty certification preferred
• Must possess outstanding interpersonal communication (oral and written) ability
• Superior ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally as well as display a great amount of organizational savvy
• Must be able to analyze and interpret data critically and develop actionable recommendations
• Requires strategic thinking and superior project management skills
